The everyday problem

The phone rang. Everybody was already on a call.

A caller at 9pm. A Sunday enquiry. Twenty people ringing at once the morning a campaign lands. Every one of them is a person who chose to pick up a phone rather than fill in a form — and most of them will not do it twice.

Why the phone is the leak

Most of your callers never try twice

  • 62%

of small-business calls go unanswered. Between 20% and 35% during office hours, and close to all of them outside.

    SchedulingKit, Missed Call Statistics 2026
  • 85%

of callers never try a second time — and 80% of those who reach voicemail leave no message, so the lost enquiry is never counted.

    SchedulingKit, Missed Call Statistics 2026
  • 28.5%

of inbound business calls arrive outside working hours, from an analysis of roughly 1.5 million calls.

This is the whole argument. Nothing about the agent is clever. It is simply there, on the first ring, however many people are calling and whatever time it is. Everything else on this page is about doing that legally and without embarrassing you.

The agents

Six jobs, one phone line

One agent behind the whole line, so a caller who rang yesterday is not a stranger today. Everything it learns lands in your CRM as fields a rep can filter on, not a recording nobody plays.

Answering

Nobody hears a ring tone twice, or hold music at all.

  • Picks up on the first ring — after hours, at weekends, and through a festival rush
  • Takes fifty calls at once as easily as one, so a campaign spike never hits a busy tone
  • No “press 1 for sales” menu: the caller says what they want and gets it
  • Never invents a price — pricing always routes to a person

Qualification

It asks exactly what your team asks, every time.

  • Budget, timeline, decision-maker and fit — your script and your disqualifiers
  • Scores against your own criteria and routes accordingly
  • Writes the answers into CRM fields, not a transcript nobody opens

Meeting booking

Booked in the right calendar, with the right rep.

  • Reads real availability instead of offering slots that are already gone
  • Routes by territory, product line or language
  • Confirms on WhatsApp and email, and reminds before the meeting

Warm transfer

It hands over the moment the lead is ready.

  • Transfers live to whoever is free, with the conversation already on their screen
  • If nobody is available it books, rather than leaving a ready buyer on hold
  • Transfers immediately on request — asking for a human is never a fight

Call write-up

Every call written up, with what was promised.

  • Summary, commitments, objections and the next step, in the CRM
  • Recording and transcript retained under your own policy, not ours
  • Flags the calls a human should listen to — a complaint, a competitor, a big number

Calling back

The missed call and the web form get returned.

  • Returns a missed call, a web form or an abandoned enquiry, on the schedule you set
  • Runs only against people who asked to hear from you
  • Holds every call inside the legal window and gives up when you say to give up
  • Optional. Inbound-only deployments skip this, and skip the registration it needs.

In the language they ring in

Hindi, Marathi, English — and the Hinglish in between

India’s voice AI market is growing at roughly 36% a year, and most of that growth is in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where callers would rather not conduct business in English. An agent that follows someone switching mid-sentence between Hindi and English keeps the conversation. One that insists on English loses it in the first thirty seconds. We tune the agent on your own recorded calls, so it uses your vocabulary and your product names rather than a generic script.

Calling in India

TRAI does not care that it is a bot

Voice is a regulated activity here before it is a product decision — but the rules differ depending on who dialled. These are enforced in the software, not in a policy document somebody is meant to remember.

When they call you

It says it is an AI
The agent discloses that it is an AI at the start of the call. Someone ringing you has not agreed to talk to software, and finding out halfway through is how trust is lost.
A disclaimer is not consent
Under the DPDP Act consent must be free, specific, informed and unambiguous — a pressed key or a spoken yes. A recorded notice playing at someone is not consent, and silence is never agreement. The agent asks, and takes no for an answer.
Calling in does not waive anything
An inbound caller has the same right to know they are recorded as anyone the agent rings. There is no lighter regime because they dialled you.
The recording is processing
Recordings, transcripts and the fields written to your CRM all sit under your retention policy and your residency rules. Nothing trains a public model, and every action is logged.

Only if it calls back

The telemarketing regime governs calls you place. An inbound-only deployment never touches any of it — no DLT registration, and nothing on your critical path.

A bot is not an exemption
TRAI draws no distinction between an AI voice agent and a person placing a commercial call. The fact that it is software is not a defence.
Registered on DLT, on the right series
Your entity, headers and call templates are registered before the agent dials anyone. Promotional calls go out on 140-series numbers, transactional and service calls on 160-series.
DND checked every campaign
Numbers are scrubbed against the National Customer Preference Register before dialling — not monthly, and not once at import. The register changes daily.
The nine-to-nine window
Promotional voice runs 09:00 to 21:00 IST; transactional and service calls run around the clock. The agent enforces the window rather than relying on someone remembering which kind of call this is.
What a breach costs
Published penalty bands run from ₹1,000 a call for a template mismatch to ₹10,000 a call for repeated DND violations, capped at ₹1 crore a month. TRAI now runs its own detection models to find unregistered telemarketers.

How it works

A call, in five steps

  1. 1AI agent

    The phone rings

Answered on the first ring, at any hour, however many are ringing at once.

  2. 2AI agent

    It introduces itself

Says it is an AI, asks about recording, and takes no for an answer.

  3. 3AI agent

    The conversation

It answers their questions and asks yours, in whichever language they opened in.

  4. 4Your team

    Handover

A warm transfer to whoever is free, or a meeting in the right calendar.

  5. 5AI agent

    Written up

CRM fields rather than a transcript: summary, score, objection, next step.

Step four is yours. The agent qualifies and books. A person closes — and takes over the moment the caller asks for one.

Questions

What we get asked before a pilot

Will callers know they are not talking to a person?

Yes, and by design — the agent says so at the start of the call. TRAI is moving towards making that disclosure mandatory for commercial calls, the DPDP Act requires informed consent before a recording, and in practice a caller who is told reacts far better than one who works it out halfway through.

What if the caller just wants to speak to a human?

It transfers, immediately, to whoever is free — with the conversation already on the rep’s screen so the caller does not start again. If nobody is available it books a slot rather than leaving a ready buyer on hold. Asking for a person is never a fight, and never a menu.

Which languages does it handle?

English, Hindi and Marathi as standard, with other Indian languages on request, and code-switching between them mid-conversation rather than forcing a choice at the start. We tune it on your own recorded calls so it uses your vocabulary, not a generic script.

What happens when twenty people ring at once?

All twenty are answered. Concurrency is the part of this that has no human equivalent — a campaign, a results day or a bad news cycle produces a spike that no rota can be staffed for, and the twenty-first caller normally gets a busy tone or a queue. Here the load simply does not show.

Does it make outbound calls too?

It can return a missed call or a web form, to people who asked to hear from you. It will not work a purchased list: promotional calling in India needs documented consent and DND scrubbing against the National Customer Preference Register, and the penalties reach ₹1 crore a month. If you only want inbound, outbound stays switched off and the registration it needs never applies to you.

Where do the recordings and transcripts live?

Your cloud or ours, under your retention policy — the same policy-driven deletion rules that govern the rest of your data. Nothing trains a public model, and every action the agent takes is logged.

How quickly can it go live?

Six weeks from the first workshop to production, and an inbound-only agent is usually the faster half of that — there is no DLT registration on the critical path, because that regime governs the calls you place, not the ones you receive. If you want outbound as well, start the filing in week one.

How many calls did you miss last week?

Most businesses cannot say, because the ones that matter never left a voicemail. We will help you find the number first — free, before you commit to anything.
